Major New Features
Panoptica Integration
Managing and securing data across dispersed environments is a significant challenge in today's complex data landscape. Netskope One DSPM has partnered with Panoptica to integrate our robust DSPM capabilities with Panoptica’s Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). This native integration provides data protection for critical assets, prioritizes the vulnerabilities that matter, and fortifies resilience against cyber threats, delivering innovation and value to Cisco's customers. This synergy offers a consolidated view of your data estate, enhancing compliance and mitigating risks. Our solution identifies sensitive patterns through data classification, thus bridging gaps in data protection. Panoptica's security risk insights are surfaced within Netskope One DSPM's Data Store Inventory to provide in-depth information on possible attack paths, risk remediation, and ultimately risk removal across your multi-cloud environments. Improvements and Updates
Snapshot-based Scanning for Azure SQL Database
Extending our existing capabilities for snapshot-based scanning for AWS and GCP Cloud SQL data stores, we now support snapshot-based data classification for Azure SQL Database, eliminating the need to create Netskope One DSPM-specific credentials for the data store. You can now connect in a low-touch way, simplifying the onboarding process with zero performance impact. This streamlined process enables comprehensive risk analysis without disrupting operational efficiency.
Classification Improvements
User Experience Improvements for Unstructured Databases
The new all-files view on the Classification Management page provides easy-access insight into your security posture across all connected unstructured data stores. Search and filter within the Fields or Files tab to better understand Sensitive Data Types detected within different data stores.
New India-specific Sensitive Data Types
Netskope One DSPM now offers built-in Sensitive Data Types for India Permanent Account Number (PAN), India Unique Identification Number (Aadhaar), and India Universal Account Number (UAN). Expansion for India-specific classifiers improves usability and provides additional context to User Assessment.
