Major New Features
Low-Touch Onboarding for GCP Cloud SQL Data Stores
Extending our existing capabilities for snapshot-based data classification for AWS data stores, we now support snapshot-based data classification for all GCP Cloud SQL data stores, eliminating the need to create Netskope One DSPM-specific credentials for each data store. You can now connect almost all supported data stores in a low-touch way, simplifying the onboarding process with zero performance impact. This streamlined process enables comprehensive risk analysis without disrupting operational efficiency.
Support for Azure Blob Storage and Azure Files
Netskope One DSPM now supports discovery and classification for two additional data stores, Azure Blob Storage and Azure Files. Azure Blob Storage typically stores large volumes of unstructured data, such as media files, backups, and logs, while Azure Files allows for file sharing across servers and platforms with a more traditional directory structure. Expanded coverage for unstructured data provides enhanced visibility into all sensitive data across environments. Read more about connecting to Azure Blob Storage and Azure Files.
Improvements and Updates
Platform Role Configuration: Future Datasets Access
Users can now optionally configure their RBAC roles to apply to all datasets. This allows such roles to always account for future datasets as they're connected (vs. remaining limited to a defined subset).
Under-the-Hood Improvements
We polished our infrastructure onboarding templates and improved count displays on the Dashboard, Data Store Inventory, and Platform Users pages. These tweaks offer smoother onboarding and provide increased accuracy in sharing insight into your organization's security posture.
