Overview
The Dashboard shows key insights into your organization's overall data security posture alongside specific, actionable details related to infrastructure, users and applications, data, and data interaction risks. These are divided into five sections as tabs:
- Data Security & Governance
- Risks
- Alert
- Sensitive Data
- Users
Individual tabs can be turned on or off depending on your Platform Role permissions.
This article explains the high-level metrics and visualizations in each of the five tabs, most clickable to drill down into details. If Netskope One DSPM has not connected to infrastructure or discovered a data store, the dashboard will guide the user to complete the necessary steps to connect a data store.
Data Security & Governance
The Data Security & Governance Dashboard provides a data security posture score and highlights potential risks, enabling security teams to address them proactively. The dashboard also reveals the extent of sensitive data exposure and identifies infrastructure, data, users, and applications risks while monitoring data usage through query analysis.

The top portion of the dashboard, with a dark background, focuses on answering the following key questions about data security and governance.
-
What is my overall data governance & security posture according to Netskope One DSPM?
- DSPM Score: A high-level metric summarizing your company's overall data governance and security posture, categorized based on specific intervals (low, medium, high, and critical) between 0 and 100. A higher score indicates stronger security infrastructure, data protection, stringent access controls, and responsible data usage, meaning a more comprehensive data security posture.
-
What is my infrastructure's contribution to overall security posture? How can it improve our DSPM score?
- Infrastructure card: The count of data stores violating one or more risk rules out of the total data store count. An up-red arrow indicates that the risky data store count has increased since the last day of the previous month, and a down-green arrow means that the risky data store count has decreased.
-
What is my data’s contribution to overall security posture? How can it improve our DSPM score?
- Data card: The count of fields/files violating one or more risk rules out of the total field/file count across all connected data stores. An up-red arrow indicates that the risky field/file count has increased since the last day of the previous month, and a down-green arrow means that the risky field/file count has decreased.
-
What are my users' contributions to overall security posture? How can it improve our DSPM score?
- Users & Applications card: The count of usernames violating one or more risk rules out of the total user count across connected data stores. An up-red arrow indicates that the count of users with risky access to sensitive data has increased since the last day of the previous month, and a down-green arrow means that the count has decreased.
-
What are my data interactions contributions to overall security posture? How can it improve our DSPM score?
- Interactions card: The count of queries violating one or more risk rules out of the total count of queries across connected data stores. An up-red arrow indicates that the count of risky queries has increased since the last day of the previous month, and a down-green arrow means that the count has decreased.
The section below shows your top risks and recommended actions to address them. Clicking on any of the cards described above will display only risks and recommendations associated with the card header (infrastructure, data, users & applications, or data interactions).

The bottom portion of this dashboard shows key metrics for sensitive data monitored by Netskope One DSPM, including:
- Sensitive Data Stores: the current count of data stores containing one or more detected sensitive data type, out of the total count of connected and discovered data stores. If relevant, the change in the count of sensitive data stores compared to last month's displays. Clicking on the number opens a drawer with a list of each data store and its respective count of sensitive fields/files and records.
- Sensitive Data: the current size of sensitive data across all connected data stores, including, if relevant, the change in size compared to last month's. Clicking on the number opens a drawer with a list of each data store and its sensitive data size.
- Sensitive Records: the current count of sensitive records across all connected data stores. If relevant, the change in the count of sensitive records compared to last month's displays. Clicking on the number opens a drawer with a list of each data store and its sensitive record counts.
- Sensitive Fields: the current count of sensitive fields, out of total fields, across all connected structured data stores. If relevant, the change in the count of sensitive fields compared to last month's displays. Clicking on the number opens a drawer with a list of each data store and its sensitive field counts.
- Sensitive Files: the current count of sensitive files, out of total files, across all connected unstructured data stores. If relevant, the change in the count of sensitive files compared to last month's displays. Clicking on the number opens a drawer with a list of each data store and its sensitive file counts. When no unstructured data stores are connected or no sensitive files are detected, this will display as 0.
- Sensitive Data Users: the current count of usernames with access to one or more sensitive data type across all connected data stores. If relevant, the change in the count of sensitive data users compared to last month's displays. Clicking on the number opens a drawer with a list of each user name, the count of their associated sensitive fields/files, and their sensitive data type counts.
- Sensitive Data Queries: the current count of queries with access to one or more sensitive type across all connected data stores. If relevant, the change in the count of sensitive data queries compared to last month's displays. Clicking on the number opens a drawer with a list of each username and their sensitive query counts.
